Solution to the sign is going to be taken care of by the Traffic and Safety Committee with the Police Chief. They have to meet and go through records to designate whether or not that sign was present and if it needs to be replaced.

The addition or deletion of signage is under the Police when it is on a road venue and DPW is the installing department. thank you for your concern

so which is it? seems it was assigned to Police Chief and records would be checked but now Code Enforcement deems it closed. what is going on?

Couldn't you just look at google street view and see if a sign was there or not? Seems like the easiest solution instead of having to go through records.

Now why didn't I think of that? So "YES" there use to be a sign there...so now what City of Clawson?

Is Google earth deem legal?, can big brother hover over a private residence, and use the retained info, as Legal......just asking. It might show some thing here oir there, does not say why it is there or gone...

and there u are! it proves that there was a sign there. has nothing to do with legal. If I had a personal picture of the lot it would prove that there was a sign there. Now the City can deal with the legal issue of weather it was taken down properly or not...etc. etc. etc.

Traffic and Safety Comm., last posted any minutes back in Feb. 2016, last attempt at taping a meeting was in August, 2016, when 2 ppl showed, one was the Cpd Chief.
M-dot has been trying to cut down on over use of signs. Also Traffic Control signs, are 7 ft. tall...... Contractors can remove signs in their way, Supv of the crew notifies DPW of such action. Some times city does not deem that the sign needs to go back in. (?)

(Side bar) 7ft signs can be a gotcha, Take Wendy's / Taco Bells location, CPD know they could write a 100 no left turn tick. per lunch hr. I sit and watch, the low cars can not see the sign, as they make the left turn then right turn from the window, to get on to Main, they make an illegal left turn on to Main, because of this, or just dont care., I dont see the taller cars / trucks making lefts, they do Right turns, it is a hard sign to see.

Supv of the crew notifies DPW of such action. Do you know they did this? probably not! Some times city does not deem that the sign needs to go back in. Do you know that the city deems this sign not necessary? probably not! reason why I brought up the the issue in the first place and I'm sure the City, DPW and or Police Chief will let me know what they find.

Your right, I dont know, I dont even know if the C Manager came in today, Not my turn to watch. There are times you have to let people do their jobs, & trust they do.
I wonder if they checked Grant park, you know there is one or two cars parking over night in the park.

After reviewing, Code talked to DPW and they will have the sign installed by January 31st.

Looks like the sign is up...to bad it didn't go back where it use to be.

The City gauges by how many feet apart each sign has to be per Traffic Control policy.
